9Cr18MoV is a high carbon stainless steel widely used in the manufacture of high quality cutting tools. The following are its main characteristics: Composition Carbon (C): about 0.9-1.0%, providing high hardness and wear resistance. Chromium (Cr): approx. 17-19% to enhance corrosion resistance. Molybdenum (Mo): approx. 0.5-1.0%, improves hardness and corrosion resistance. Vanadium (V): approx. 0.1-0.3% for grain refinement and wear resistance.
